A leader and Certified Nurse-Midwife in Mali since 1992, and now completed Masters degree from Keiser University Orlando, FL. Kadidia is doing a remarkable work. She first assisted children in Malian villages with free first-care, wound care and vaccination. Then with the few clinics in the main cities, she associated with private doctors from Bamako to donate time and support for the new project for the Fintiguila village. She worked hard with them to take the matter to the Malian healthcare administrators which finally approved the project primary healthcare center for the children. Fund needs to be raise to fulfill the project. Now she is dedicated into high performance of the program using her healthcare management and research expertise. Her hope is to grow the program and maintain strategy development in assisting the children of Fintiguila with healthcare and education. She is devoted to the success of WAF.

Russell Merchant:
Creator and initiator of the West Africa Foundation. When he met Kadidia, he thought it will be helpful to create the foundation in the purpose of helping the children of west Africa. Russell is a proud non-active Veteran of US army and traveled many countries especially in Africa. He is a HVAC technician and consultant which has always donate his time to support the good cause. He is devoted and engaged in numerous community services assistance typically WAF for the cause of unfortunate children. Russell is the foundation Vice President and he coordinates the fundraising event and board meetings.

Business administrator and accounting in Mali, Mafoune knows well the condition of these village's children. She often participates movement for children cause in Africa, she works for international help projects that purpose is to create better resources for African children and family. Mafoune has many years of experiences in rural environmental, health care and educational resources through projects that benefit not only children but also women and child birthing. Children’s cause is her specialty. She is devoted to ensure the effectiveness of these children to go school and receive proper primary care and regular vaccination. Mafoune is the Executive Director of the West Africa Foundation. There are still a lot that need to be done in these small towns of West Africa. She loves these children, she interact a lot with them and she wants to help them for a big change.

is originally from Morocco and lives in Orlando FL with her husband and children. Fatiha is journalist and works in social services domain interacting with may religious people. She loves children, she is willing to help these children in west Africa and she wants to see a smile on each face. She is working hard on getting plenty of cloths, shoes, beds and mattress to be sent to Mali. Thank you Fatiha for your great support

Is our Board Associate & Fundraising. Lorraine is in building construction and renovation in Washington state where she appreciates what the nature has to provide us as human being. Environment protector and great humanitarian person, Lorraine is experienced in giving home and loving to the unfortunate children in the US. She decided to give time and support WAF's cause as expansion to what she believes. Lorraine mostly knows what it takes to benefit children. She intends to travel to Mali each time the board must send members to the targeted locations for assistance.

she can speak several West African languages and she works as an interpreter. She is all for the unfortunate ones and their well being. Fatoumata is devoted for this great cause. She is the board director to represent WAF in Seattle WA where donations and events are hold.

Presently in High school, Joel is the board site video and audio editor. He is practicing the basic Information Technology and also he records events for the website so our donors and sponsors can all keep track of the evolution of our excellent work. Joel has shown interests in WAF marketing and fundraising events. He is very proud to take part of advertising activities which promote WAF organization. He has done wonderful PowerPoint presentation during board meetings.

Late Board Director
Mahamane TTT Kone:
He passed away Sept. 2010, May His Soul Rest In Peace; Amen. He left behind a beautiful daughter. Mahamane was a Malian military person very proud of his country. Being a military in Mali is tough especially he had superiors who would not tolerate any little thing he would do. He still did bear the pain, the pressure and the unfairness submission from his superiors military. He loved children and children loved him. He was devoted to the safety of West African Children as a military person. He did help West Africa Foundation, he worked hard, he did protect WAF mission and intended to focus on it until God has called him home. He will be dearly missed, his smile, his peaceful inside soul will be missed.
